Arraignment
is the proceeding before a judge at which police formally, officially
and publicly accuse a citizen of crime. The police can hold the suspect
for up to eight hours before having him/her arraigned. The suspect has
not been officially accused/arraigned. Will you use his name? Whatever
you do, be sure to watch what you say to avoid the possibility of libel.
